Listen to two expert lawyers, specializing in human resources and labor relationships, talking about labor obligations in collective matters for companies and unions, as well as the modifications that legislation on these matters has gone through recently.

Speakers:

José María Avelar has a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the UNAM, a Certificate Degree in Amparo Law from the Universidad Panamericana and Graduate Studies in Law Degree from the University of Salamanca, Spain. He has also completed the Certificate Program in Business Administration, specializing in HR at the EGADE and obtained the Leadership Degree at the Kellogg School of Management, in Chicago.

With over 34 years’ experience, he has specialized mainly in labor law, human resource management and organizational development. He is a graduate of the Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico City), both from the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Relations, and from the Bachelor’s Degree in Law. He obtained the title of Six Sigma Black Belt from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM, Mexico), as well as the Certification as Master Coach by the same institution and by the AIAC. He has collaborated in companies such as Kraft General Foods de México, Editores e Impresores, Grupo Warner Lambert México (Chiclets Adams), Grupo Bühler and, for 17 years, he was in charge of Human Resources for Mexico and Latin America of ECOLAB, with 28 countries under his care. He has combined teaching and consulting, founding the “Avelar Consultores Asociados S.A.” Firm in 2002.

Enrique García Conde has extensive experience in the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements with unions at the regional level in multinational companies. He has participated in restructuring operations in various organizations, including mergers and acquisitions processes in which aspects such as employer substitution, union negotiations and internal communication with workers were addressed. He is currently a partner at the DLVMR Firm
